Title: TPS Setting Post by Luhbo on 04/29/09 at 20:50:48
Before anyone installs his newly aquired MyEcu to his bike and then starts to put work in it, I strongly recommend to do a TPS base setting according to the book. For a V11/My15M e.g. this means 150mV at flaps totally closed.
The MyEcu does not really need this, albeit it makes comparing or sharing different maps from different users easier. It makes also good sense because of the fact that the TPS we use are bilinear. So map structure and TPS should match each other. Hubert |

Hi Cliff
I have fitted the my16m to my 1100 sport, still having start up problems, flooding!! need to adjust map and bypass screws. gone back to standard ecu due heavy work comitment!! Can i use the my16m readout to set the tps to 150mv setting as per the book Many thanks Jamie |

Yes you can. The ECUController/Optimiser will display the raw digital count.
5V = 1024 so 150mV = (1024/5/1000) * 150 ~ 31 the bike should idle with ~ 1/2 volt or 100 ( but this is not a calibration point ) |

I do that too. The TPS value for 378 mV (Sporti specific idle TPS) is 77 so I set idle screw to produce that value with engine off. But my TB's are so worn they move with the vacuum, so that 77 figure raises to 96 with engine actually idling. After consulting Cliff I use the latter figure, 96, as the Idle TPS in MyECU.
