Title: 1993 Daytona map
Post by billd on 05/15/09 at 14:58:00
Hello all, new to the board. Just ordered a kit for my 1993 Daytona. It has a P8 ecu, was lucky to get a spare ecu case with the bike. Am interested to hear from anyone with experience with a Daytona that has after market exhaust (full system) and airfilters. The old chip in the P8 that was toasted  said "kit D". If anyone has info on that would appreciate hearing about it as well. Am riding the bike at present on a standard map, poor fueling. The bike had very old gas in it when I got it so have run some injector cleaner through it. Have ridden it about 250 miles so far and it is getting a bit better with mileage. Interested in any and all comments or advise.

In case you just want to pay, plug and play, Phil Arnold in Oz sells MyECU maps for Sporti and Centauro, maybe Daytona too, I don't know. He asks AUD 200 if memory serves me but I know he's got some very satisifed Centauro customers on the cog forum.

But if you're more of a DIY guy that would be a waste of money, and maybe you'll enjoy an LC-1 kit and go closed loop instead. Or spend half a day on a brake dyno.

Raz, thanks for your comments. Suspect I'll want to fiddle with MyP8 once I've got it , built it, and installed it on the bike. Please stay in touch on this.
