Title: Pins to the ECU connector? Where can I get them?
Post by jocke on 06/01/09 at 18:29:40
Does any one know where it is possible to get the terminal pins to the ECU connector? The pins in the wiring harness.

I have this idea that I could use some of the unused pins (13 are not used on P16) to connect my dual lambda, The RJ45 connector and the 4 switches.

All in all I would use 5 pins for the switches, 3 pins for the lambdas and 4 pins for the RJ45 connector. I would still have one unused pin.

I could seal up the ECU forever and never have to open it again and I could have nice water proof OMP connectors(the original connectors) for the switches, lambdas and RJ45.

As the switches would be installed externaly I could change there positions in seconds. I could have a permanent wiring installation for my dual lambda and for the optimizer and just hook it up in a minute when I want it.

Does this make sense?

So back the the question. Where can I find the pins?

I may be wrong but I have a vague memory of having the same idea, and it turned out the connector was not populated with contact elements in the unused positions. Don't trust me on that but check it.. Edit: maybe that is what you meant?  :-X

Apart from that, there are always the PCB drawings on Cliff's site, and perhaps this Guzzi schematic adds some clues: http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/schematics/1996_Sport_1100i.gif
