Title: My16 Ignition coil driver.
Post by jocke on 10/07/09 at 22:12:06
On MY16. Pin 1 and 19 that goes to the ignition coil to control it. Is it a switching ground or a voltage. If a voltage how high is it?

It is a bit strange to me as it sais on the MYECU page that ignition and injector drivers works the same. When I look at the wiring manual for my bike the injectors are controled  by a switching ground so if that is correct the ignition should also be controlled by switching ground.

The reason that I am asking is that I try to get a reliable RPM reading for my LM-2 lambda meter. Now it is configured for switching ground but it does not read any thing at all.

Is it a switching power insteady?

The coils and injectors all have a constant 12V from the power relay and the 16M drivers grounds them when active.
