Title: Using existing o2 sensor wiring to main connector Post by Bobd on 01/31/12 at 03:07:03
I have a feeling this may be covered elsewhere on this or the V11 LeMans.com forum, apologies if covering old ground.
My bike, although not fitted with an 02 sensor or WM15RC, does have the connector for the OEM O2 sensor. It is definitely the 4pin O2 connector and not the 3 pin diagnostic connector! As this is wired to the OEM ecu main connecter on pins 2 and 8 I wondered if I could run link wires on the underside of the My15M pcb between pins 2 and 8 of the main connector and the 3 pin connector supplied for connecting the O2 sensors. If so, which of the 3 pin connector should I connect to pin 2 and which to pin 8, what about the third pin? I thought this would make fitting a single O2 sensor easier at a later date. My My15M now assembled and has passed the initial tests prior to fitting to the bike, if this is a good idea I thought I would do it before fitting board into the case. 03 build, 4 registered LeMans Rosso Corsa, UK market. Pin 2 is one of the temp sensor inputs.
Pin 8 is the o2 input and is already wired through so there should be nothing extra to do. |

Hi,
The diagram in my handbook definitely shows pins 2 and 8 as being connected to the lamda sensor. The air temp. probe is shown as connected to pins 18 and 22 which is also shared with TPS and the oil temp. sensor. |

Sorry I got confused with pin 1. Pin 2 is the earth side of the o2 input

Sorry if I'm a bit thick, it being my birthday today and still suffering from the party on saturday night, so I dont need to do anything, just plug in a wideband O2 sensor or even better an LC1?

That's right. The ECU side is sorted.
