Not sure if I have a problem with my newly assembled Optimiser.

When connected to the MyEcu and ignition turned on, engine not running, I get text on the left side of the screen but only black blocks on the right side. Is this usual, I am not sure if the blocks are only there when the engine is not running so no data so correct or if I have a fault. If a fault do you have any idea of solution.

( Can't start engine at moment with MyEcu, starts OK with OEM ecu but have other bits of the bike apart so cannot take for a run to warm it up, I like my neighbours so don't want to run engine too long in garage.)

You said you were getting full text yesterday. You shouldn't see blocks at any time. Wiring fault is most likely, perhaps a wire has since broken.

Have you loaded a map into the ECU. Did you make the change to suit whatever pressure sensor your donor had?
Are all the analog values giving exactly the values you expect?
What about the switch positions, are they set correctly?

I did not explain fully, all I have ever seen is text on the left half of the display and blocks to the right. At the time I thought that as the engine was not running there was no data and so the blocks were displayed.

I now understand there should be no blocks at any time. As you say it will be a wiring problem as the MyEcu is obviously talking to the Optimiser. I can cycle between the various screens/menus.

I do have the map you supplied loaded up.
The TPS seems right at 106.
Switch positions set for no O2 sensor.

Just got in from late shift so will re-do the display wiring in the morning. Thanks for the help.

Optimiser rebuilt with new display and Optimiser chip, seems to work OK, talks to the My15M and gives a full screen display.

My screwup was using the 9v battery from my My15M testing to test the Optimiser - not a good idea, it being a 5v circuit!
