Title: LC1- What is the terminating plug
Post by Bobd on 07/02/12 at 07:26:55
:-?Hi, hope I have not put this post in the wrong place.

I have just bought a used LC-1 including a DB AFR gauge.  Everything, including instructions, seems to be there except for the 'terminating plug' which is described as a 3.5mm audio style plug "with no wires". I understand I need this to be fitted to the end of one of the leads when connecting the LC-1 to a computer. Is this a special plug that I will have to order from Innovate or something I can make up myself.  Is it just a 3.5mm jack with no wires, or with a shorting link or perhaps a resistor?.   It is not used to connect direct to the computer but is used to 'terminate ' the unused 'IN' serial line.
Anyone have any ideas.

It is a 2.5 mm stereo one. The tip and center should be shorted together according to a post here: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=27926

Many thanks RAZ, of course you are are right - it is 2.5mm.
I will make up the plug as suggested on that site.
Thanks again.

I run the LC1 in its factory default mode. There's no real advantage to programming any custom curves in it.

Thankyou for that tip. I will leave well alone.
