Can you recommend a cheaper replacement wideband lamda sensor for the LC-1 other than the original Bosch LSU 4.2.

No, but why are you asking? You've only just got yours if you have one. Surely that's a warranty claim if its not working.

The real deal is available here for 60 pounds - http://www.efi-parts.co.uk/index.php?productID=169 and there are numerous on ebay.

It was a cheap ebay item, declared as showing 8 blinks of the test LED - faulty lamda. Should have done my homework on the sensor price.
