Title: My 16 ECU for sale in the UK
Post by Jamie on 10/04/12 at 07:17:39
My 16 ECU for Guzzi 1100 sport Injection.
Purchased ready made from Cliff in Aug 2008.
Only fitted to bike for a few hours in total.
(I was unable to get the bike to start from cold with the MY16, so stuck with the Creedon chip) Now sold the 1100 sport.
Comes complete inc adaptor to load maps via USB port on PC.
Not sure of second hand value?

That's a shame but I don't understand.

Searching my emails, I can see only one email after you received the My16M and that was from me about 6 months after asking how it was going. You have made only one post here about it.

Have I lost some correspondence?

Hi Cliff,
I got the bike running well with the MY16 ECU, once warmed up with the OEM ECU, My16 very smooth no flat spot ect.
But for some reason or another cold start just didn't happen :(
The creedon chip fitted in the OEM ecu ran well, so stuck with that.
Had couple more goes with different maps but then just not enough hours in the day in the end.
The 1100 sport injection, loved the bike, but riding postion is just far to low and was not being used enough. So now sold the sport. (Getting a 1100 Breva).
Thank you for your support and other members on the forum.
Cheers Jamie
PS Had some interest in the ECU already!!!!

Hi Jamie and Cliff,

Hopefully Jamie won't mind me telling here that I was the one having interest in his ECU and actually bought it last night for my friend here in Finland :)

Cliff might recall me having already some history with My16M earlier around 2004 when I build and installed one on my Sport Corsa 1100i : http://www.kolumbus.fi/koivupiha/hw2005/corsa05.JPG

My16M transformed the bike completely and I used quite extensively for track days for a couple of years. I have already sold that bike and the next owner crashed it badly on the track eliminating thus one of those rare bikes from the roads.

Some years later my friend Esa also bought one for his Centauro and I helped to tune the bike with My16M and the results were good. The Centauro/Daytona 4-valve engine is a very nice piece of machinery. Esa's bike is now being transformed as a group activity among a small group of people into something slightly more wicked. Here are some pictures of that "all aluminium" project : http://my.opera.com/v2tre/albums/show.dml?id=6329701

That alu-Guzzi will be powered by My16M ECU and in its final stages equipped with a Rotrex supercharger and running on 85 % ethanol fuel nowadays widely available here in Finland.

ex-Jamie My16M will be going into my other friends Daytona RS which fried its OEM ECU a month ago. We put the My16M from Esa's bike into Daytona and the comments from the Daytona owner after a few hundred kilometers were such that "I need one of these for my Daytona". Jussi, the Daytona owner has Nordic and European championships in classics racing and has also participated Isle of Man races. So he should know when the bike runs ok ! Here is his latest race bike from Isle of Man classic race last summer : http://files.myopera.com/v2tre/albums/11912692/2012-05-25-327.jpg

I will posting to this forum when the alu-Guzzi project proceeds to a level where we can fire her up.

Any help and insight from this forum will be appreciated.

With best regards from Finland
