I have recently fitted a Mistral exhaust balance pipe to my Sport 1100 in place of the standard box. The bike seems to have lost acceleration and vibrate more up from 4000rpm in top gear. I got this pipe through Thunderbikes in Perth so I presume it is fairly common. Does anyone have a map for the modification or advice on how to adjust the standard Jeffries map to suit?

Hi Bill

You have some ways to sort this.

Get the bike to a dyno and adjust the map. A good dyno operator should resolve this and you can tune the top end for best power.

Get a wideband lambda sensor and start using the autotune functions of the MyECU.

Make some maps with more or less fuel on the region you are having troubles and test if it gets better or worse. +-5% to start. It's easy to do with the ecucontrolV1.66 or the droid optimiser. Select multiple files and add a given percentage to all.

G'day Bill,
You lil rippa, someone else from the gr8 state of WA riding a sporty with a MyECU. Got mine running reasonable now and its fitted with a full Staintune exhaust system. Had it on the dyno at Pro-Twin a lil while ago see my post, it was just a shoot out not tune, and it was running fairly rough above 6500 rpm Cliff said to lean it off at WOT so I did that and now it revs right out with no missing up high. I also made a few other adjustments to the starting side as per instructions and you want to change the valve clearance to what Raz reckons. I would sill like to get someone to Dyno tune it rather than go the auto tune route because of our flat terrain have a trip on starting Monday so I will try to post my map when I get back.
Also is your bike the Black one with the rear seat cowling.

Thanks Rickf4 and Stinga and sorry I didn't respond earlier - been away from the computer for a while. I had a bit of a manual tune of the ECU according to the Manual but it didn't make a lot of difference. As I am not really up with all this I think I will get it to a dyno tuner sometime soon.
Mine is yellow with the standard tail. I live near Margaret River and don't get to Perth on the bike much. I will let you know how I go.

Taking it to a dyno tuner is the best why to lose money. They're not going to know about MyECU.
Tuning is not hard you just need to put in a little leg work
