Title: MAP - help to fit to DUCATI 907ie
Post by Jörg on 03/07/14 at 15:53:58
Dear all,
I'm new here and I need heeeelp.

I got a DUCATI 907ie and a converted carburetor 900SS (1993).
Both with working P7 and FIM maps - nearly original, only a little
more fuel in the mid range.
Now I build a 907 sidecar...

I buy a miniMyP8 from Cliff and want to convert the original
907 maps to use it with the miniMyP8.
Is there anyone who can help me with the conversion or
is there a complete MAP that I can buy?
I'm a electronic engineer and a bit familiar with
hardware, software, excel and so on.
And I know it, my English is shi.....

Best regards from Hamburg (Germany) :)

Jörg-Thomas

Jorg,
The support here is very good, so I'm sure someone who knows Ducatis will come by soon.

My first try to convert 907 maps to MyECU,  what do you think about.
Is there an idea to reduce the 16 lines to 15 ?

I don't like the looks of those numbers. It looks like the bottom 3 lines from the original were not used as they are below the idle

I think there will be more work progressing this map as there would from the one I gave.

Dear all, don't be angry about me, but I am in the learning phase... :-?

Dear Cliff, be patient with me, I try to understand what you do in several year, in a few days... :-?

Now I post my next try to put the original 907 Maps to a MyECU compatible one.

Hope you can help me with a lot of comments! :)

This is a photo of an EXCEL sheet (zoom or scroll it, please):

You should ignore the lowest 3 rows of the OEM map. They are below the TPS setting where MyECU will start.
If you include them you are going to have a massive flat spot off idle.

You should not put any of your maps into the ECU until you have first validated that the ECU runs the bike with a known map.

Jorg, I will post my map tomorrow. I know it runs well on a ducati 900ssie even if it does need more refinement. It is making 75rwhp with the standard cat conv silencer and wheelies on demand !
A good silencer should yield another 5 and equal length headers (they are uneven on she Elefant) should add even more!
