Hi, I haven't been here for quite a while, the VII sport has been parked for a couple of years while I played fast and loose with a couple of older Italian ladies. In the meantime I have lost the PC I used to communicate with.

I looked all around to find the software to turn a new PC into a download terminal, I need that and a good starting map for a Mk III, the bike is 2001 VII Sport with stock airbox and Mistral pipes.
If someone could kindly point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I think you have to get the program directly from Cliff himself. 
I'm traveling on business, but if you're in a bind when I get home in two weeks I can email you a copy (I think).

As for maps, there's a section on this forum where people post their maps.  I recall it's near the bottom of the initial forum page.
