Offset adjustment?

Any reason why offset map alterations are limited to max 7%?
In maps I`ve seen it`s not unusual w + 10-20% in the higher RPM`s.

On most bikes like Ducati or Harley this has to do with different cooling situations (Harley is a very good example). I don't think it is really necessary for bikes with the engine mounted as in Guzzis.
If I remember right the MyEcu was designed first for Guzzis.

MyECU is advertised as suitable for Ducati & Laverda as well as Guzzis.

I only allowed 4 bits for the offset field so my expectation was +-7%. However since I retuned my bike, I'm seeing larger values also.

I'll revisit the code and see what's going on. Could be a bug. For the moment keep them small.

MyECU should handle Guzzis or Ducatis.

Guzzi riders have been quick to adopt while Ducati riders have been less inclined to.

As such more testing has happened with Guzzi than Ducati.

Keep us posted.

This thread only is about a parameter, nothing more IMHO.  Wink

If anyone does a search on this subject:
+-16% offset correction is possible.
