Even the most skilled tuners would need a starting point.
And, the professionals who pay f soft/hardware deserve at least 1 reference value.
Why should a professional tuner who pays f everything need to get special instruments to find out dead time?!?!?
Or am I ranting w/o a clue again? Cheesy

I don't have a clue either, but maybe a skilled tuner would know to use 1 ms as a starting point for a high impedance injector anyway. Also, if you have a shop, finding it out yourself really isn't that hard.

Sometimes I consider sending my injectors to some place like Yaw Power. Cost is $50 per injector and this will include sonic clean as well as new screens, pintle caps, and o-rings. New injectors are $35 as they don't require reconditioning. Sample data from Yawpower

But to be honest I really don't think it's worth it, it's just my odd way of adding bling. On the other hand, that cleaning and reconditioning is likely a good thing.

I'll resurrect this thread to ask if anyone has had any luck finding the actual specs on our injectors. I believe the ones on my bike are Weber 280.4.002.1A/IW-031.

I've been able to find all kinds of data for other types, but had no luck with this one.

Almost anything can be found on the Internet if you search enough. Armed with that knowledge I invested a frigging ludicrous amount of time googling for it, more than even reasonable as it became a sport. But I never found it. Some day I'll send my injectors for cleaning, not because I think they need it but because I'll pick a shop that can do this voltage->flow baselining. If/when that happens I promise I'll post it here. I hope anyone beating me to it would too.

Edit: The IW031 is also called WFI191, and I've also seen a reference to "EV-1 “Minitimer”" but maybe the latter is just the connector type.

All specs but the deadtimes are available:
16.2 Ohms
270 cc/min @ 3 bar
'O' ring. 14mm O.D. is available separately: Part Number 4156504700.

Page 32 for some bumpf of minor relevance - most of which Raz has already mentioned but it does clear up the connector uncertainty.
