Equipped with the My15m on a Guzzi V11 regarding starts. Is the choke lever needed to be used anymore on cold starts? does it really make a difference?

It's not a choke, it's a little throttle. It should always be used as required.

The MyECU will usually change starting characteristics, at least until you have properly sorted out the map.
