Imagine a first try w a MyECU:

You set your WM to 150 mV base setting.

You set idle screw so it idles, balance TB`s, set air screws; base settings is fine & proper.

You switch to MyECU.

You have measured your TPS = you know what mV relates to what MyECU TPS value.


My findings are that that the WM base mV is not directly transposable to MyECU TPS.

F e: If my bike idles fine w 240 mV w WM,
that is equal to 50 in MyECU.
But in MyECU, it will actually idle good w 65.

Q:
Is the Ile TPS really directly related to WM mV?
Or is the MyECU TPS Idle just:
Set that value to whatever makes it idle good?

So, to put it simple:

1. Set WM base.
2. Switch to MyECU, just turn it on and see what value the Optimiser tells you, that`s your TPS Idle.
Period.

Is that correct?

I have just sent off money to Cliff for an My15M so have started to reread the various posts.

This thread leaves me a little confused.

Surely the Throttle Position Sensor is set up the same no matter which ECU is fitted. With idle screws fully out and butterflies fully closed a base 150Mv is set by mechanically  adjusting the TPS. LH idle screw is then wound in to give a  starting idle value of around 500Mv followed by fine adjustments of the idle and air screws to set the idle and balance. The final TPS value being that which your particular engine needs to idle satisfactorily - 513Mv in my case. All the TPS does is tell the ECU how far open the throttle is from the base 150Mv fully closed position.

Where do these figures of 50 to 150 come from, do they have a value - Mv, Ohms ?,  or are they just a number used by the My15M, perhaps 100 is the middle of a normal  adjustment range? I imagine the My15M will read the TPS output during the start-up two seconds when the pump primes and call that the idle setting.

Do we also have to tell it the Wide Open Throttle output which I suppose is around 5,000Mv (5v)?
