My 2004 V11 Rosso Corsa with WM15M ecu has an unused socket which would be used to connect to the O2 sensor when using a WM15RC ecu.

Please confirm that if I make up an MYECU kit, I simply plug the oem O2 sensor into this socket and that the MYECU will detect this from the stock V11 wiring harness. (I have a used stock crossover with an oem O2 sensor from a WM15RC bike.)

I ask this as looking at the Innovate website regarding their LC1 suggests a controller is required yet the V11 wiring diagram shows the oem O2 sensor plugged direct to the wiring harness. I assume the LC1 controller enables one to read from the O2 sensor and display the result - even on a bike with carbs i.e. no ecu. I also assume that the ecu reads the O2 sensor directly and so no need for a controller. Am I correct in my assumptions.

I notice your comments elsewhere about wideband O2 sensors being preferred, is the oem O2 sensor wideband?


Edit.  I now know the oem O2 sensor fitted to the V11 is an NGK OZA334-BB-1, it is a narrow band non-linear type.

The chances are good that your harness will support the stock sensor with the the MyECU. Even if it doesn't the work required to support it are minimal.

The LC1 controller is not related to displaying the output. It is required to operate the sensor. Its a balancing act to keep the sensor at its nominal operating point. Controllers are needed for the 5 wire sensors but not for the lesser sensors.

The stock sensor on my Breva seems to work better than the earlier narrowband sensors. Its has a little range and not the digital switching of its predecessors.
