Big Bore - Map Adjustment
04/26/12 at 02:00:20

I put a big bore kit into my 09 V7, raising it from 744cc to 820 for a 10% gain.  I'd like to adjust the map to account.  My map is Breva8, which Cliff gave me.

Although there is a 10% gain in displacement, air intake won't rise a full 10%.  This is especially true of the smallblock, which uses Heron heads with flat valves.  Breathing gets limited at higher rpms.

How about increasing fueling by 6% for lower rpms, and gradually diminishing the increase until a 0% at redline?

You don't really need to guess. The closed loop should do what it needs to do.
You can just log the ECU data and then analyse it later.
It will tell you exactly what you need and where once you learn what how to do it.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction.  I'll investigate logging and analysis of the data.  That should put me spot on.
