Controller Programme issues
03/10/13 at 05:35:10

I just received an upgraded chip from Cliff and downloaded controller 151 as recommended. Cliff had preloaded his Sport map  My bike is a Centy  It started on the map quite well but thought I'd save my TPS number to it and reload it with that number change .The controller communicated quite soon but halfway through the process I kept getting the ol' warning notice "Programme has encountered a problem and needs to close down "!!
Tried again several times and I wonder if the version I downloaded is corrupted - when loading map to ECU the cursor does not complete two passes like the version 143 I used previously , it went on and on  On 5th pass I closed it down and bike will not start Sad
Has anyone a controller programme they could send me please? I am unfamiliar with versions available but maybe a 151 from another source might work
Thank you. Any ideas ?   Cry

It sounds like the program is crashing. I haven't heard many reports of it crashing. Is your OS producing a crash dump?

When you start the program, going into the Diagnostics option and enable logging. Maybe there are some clues there.
Otherwise I might nee to get you on the latest version 166 for debugging.

What about the Android Optimiser, have you treid that?

Dave - what are you trying to save? TPS number - is this a serial no or ??
Have you added a line or something to the map text file? That might cause the upload to fail if it's not kosher. The file is quite particular about the punctuation and also what program you use to modify it with - some applications add formatting / characters which screws the file. Stick to Notepad* or similar and if you add a line of text it must be considered a statement rather than data or something like that. It's been a long week and my brain is solidifying Cheesy
I would suggest you just run the file unmodified until you get it up and running. *I use jEdit which is free on-line somewhere.

Gav. In Cliffs map TPS was zero. Having opened config box and seen my TPS as 93 I changed zero to that and saved it.
Just looking at saved maps now I can see that during the action described above the file has been converted from Word to Text.I need somehow to stop that from occurring ...probably.
Phil said last night that provided the inserted tps number was less than 93 any one would do  ?

Update
Made call.
I have emailed DW ver 166 and he sent the map he had. Map corrupt after line 71 - we are going to talk it through Tuesday pm UK time to cobble the lines 0-71 and whatever he had from previous maps to get Centy up & running again.

Would there be more than one folder containing a crash dump? I found one folder but it was empty .

Where the crash dump goes is not determined by the ECUController, that would be Windows.
Send me the map file and steps to reproduce. If its a map you've corrupted with Word don't worry about it.

I can't get any map to load Cliff.
I have seen the vertical scale go all indistinct just when I think I am getting somewhere ...... does that symptom ring any bells ?   The ECU will run the bike on your BT chip - that is not corrupted like I suspected , rather it must have been the loading-out process that brought about the corruption of the map file .
I did switch 4  and plugged-in the Sparkfun.  Delayed pump thing there OK but have not located device on my Android yet.
It's the absence of communication with 232 that's doing my head in however.    Cry

You should not have Sw4 on. That was for the first gen BT

The Android Optimiser produces a log file. Try and do the connect/load and send it to me
