MyECU & MV Agusta

I'm opening this thread to give an up to date information about the adaptation project and map.

I did the development work with Cliff.

All the hardware issues were solved with the 1.6 Mk7 version. Everything works as it should.

The bike revs cleanly to the rev limiter.
The top dead center setting was checked with the scope and adjusted. That sorted the kickback's starting the bike.

The intake temp sensor was reading high. Mv's use a different intake air temp sensor that also incorporate the barometric sensor in one package. That was sorted adjusting the bias resistor and comparing the values to the stock ecu using the diagnostic tool.

At this time the supported models are the F4 750 and the brutale 750S and 910S. I think some 910R were euro 2 models and had the 1.6.

The 1000 F4 at this time is not supported because of the ebs valve. If there interest I think Cliff could work the code.

Regarding the brutale's they use a different coil setup, so I think the coil dwell should reduced a bit just to be safe.
Coil on plug tend to use less dwell. The brut's use 2 coils in series for each pair of cylinders.

I Think if any one is thinking of going forward with the ecu, they should invest in a wide-band lambda controller to set up the maps. I have a racing exhaust so for someone with the stock exhaust or a brute, the map will work but not as good as it could be.
For me the one off the great advantage over stock is the possibility to run closed loop and tune the maps with the droid optimizer. Once you o run your bike in closed loop your will never go back to the stock, at least in my opinion! Grin

You will need to solder a bung to your exhaust.

I plan to share the map as soon as possibly and the side stand circuit as soon as possible.

If you have any question please ask or you can contact me on the forum messaging system.

Hi guys

The map is the maps section on this forum. It took me a little more time than expected because of work and bad weather.

Yesterday a friend of mine, rode the bike and was really impressed on how smooth and responsive the bike felt.

I will try to post new versions any time I have small improvements.

What you guys are waiting for? Cheesy

Cheers

rick

I haven't been by here for a while. Well done with the development work. Maybe its time to take the Sportie out for a run again and get back into playing with the myECU. Been neglecting it for a couple of months.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome. Wink
I live in France and I'm the Owner of a Mv Agusta F4 1000 S of 2005. A IAW16M AR drives the engine. There is no lambda sensor on this version.I guess the the lambda was introduced on later model.

Do you think a My16M could replace my original IAW16M?
Have someone tested the My16M  on this bike?

I've search my emails and only Rickf4 has installed a My16M on a 750 F4 with good results. I don't know how similar the 1000 is.

I've been lurking here too.  Do need to make a final tweak on my V7 big bore map, before it's done.
